Huachuma is a sacred plant from the Andes mountains with a long history of use for spiritual purposes.
Huachuma ceremonies have been part of Andean indigenous traditions for thousands of years, with archaeological evidence dating back over 4000 years in Peru. They are still practiced today by indigenous communities in Peru and Ecuador.
Eostar’s story:
“I first received the Huachuma plant in Cuzco, Peru from an indigenous shaman named Don Victor. Later I returned to Peru and sat in Huachuma ceremonies several times with my mentor Alonso Del Rio as well as an all-women’s ceremony with his wife Waldi. I also received Huachuma from Kailash Kokkopelli in Sweden and in the USA. Following my mentor, Alonso Del Rio, I also sat in Huachuma ceremonies with him in Holland and in Mexico. The Huachuma ceremonies I hold are inspired by Alonso Del Rio’s Four Altars ceremony. In these ceremonies we will invoke the power of the four elements and we will say gratitudes to our grandparents, parents, the future generations and for ourselves. Through this process of saying our gratitudes out loud, deep wounds will likely open and be healed by the sacred Huachuma medicine. Be ready for a deep dive into the heart.”
The Four Elements Huachuma ceremony will facilitate prayer, communion with nature, and accessing the spiritual world. It will help you access your physical, emotional and spiritual needs and take you on a fast-paced journey of self-discovery through expanded states of consciousness. Participants may also seek guidance or wisdom about specific matters or situations.
Effects of Huachuma include visions, dream-like states, heightened senses, and a sense of connection with all life. Participants will be encouraged to set clear intentions and focus on the experience, minimizing distractions.
We will start the ceremony indoors and later venture out to enjoy Nature outdoors.
Eostar will sing healing songs to inspire your loud-spoken gratitudes.
Preparation: Participants often prepare for the ceremony with cleansing or eating a healthy diet beforehand. Everyone is asked to have a light breakfast consisting mostly of fruits, no later than 8 am.
Mental preparation through journaling, meditation, or contemplation can also be beneficial. You can optionally also book a private preparation session with Eostar for $125/90 mins.
Integration: There will be a breathwork session and a group integration session offered the following morning optionally.
More from Eostar:
“I’m a healer, ceremonial facilitator, musician, Clinical Hypnotherapist, Certified Breathwork Facilitator, Internal Family Systems coach and psychedelic preparation and integration guide. I have been an eternal student of the ways of healing with sacred plant medicines for 15 years. I trained with Western facilitators as well as a Peruvian shaman who is of the Shipibo tradition. I have been holding Ayahuasca, Psilocybin and Huachuma ceremonies for the last 10 years.
I combine traditional and modern therapeutic approaches to support my clients in their healing process, self-activation and spiritual awakening. I have been writing songs informed by my deep psychedelic ceremonial journeys for 15 years. Before that time, I was a song-writer who sang of the deeply mystical dimensions of Life. My sacred ceremonies are signified by heart-opening ceremonial music that is both masterful and authentic. To hear a sample, go to my music page or look me up on major listening platforms as Eostar and the WEB of ONE.
My approach to ceremonial healing work honors each and every participant’s individual path. We are all free to have our own unique way of discovering the Truth of who we are and answer Life’s greatest questions.
There are many factors that set aside these ceremonies from average psychedelic use. Prior to the ceremony participants are asked to follow a special diet and prepare mentally through formulating an intention. At the beginning of the ceremony these intentions are shared in a circle.
The container that I hold is safe, cozy, well organized, the live music is always hauntingly beautiful. I always have one or more assistants on duty. All of this contributes to the possibility of allowing yourself to let go and dive deep into the psychedelic experience and break out of the confines of your mind. What is beyond these confines is up to everyone to experience. It is common for people to receive downloads, teachings, visions, intuitive answers to questions, auditory guidance, or simply enjoy a deep knowing of anything that comes up.
At times the journey may feel like “work” – getting resolved around something that has been an internal conflict in your life. It is not uncommon for people to go through some intensified emotions or difficult segments in the ceremony. But almost 100% of the time one emerges from these with new insights and a feeling of just having been reborn. If you happen to be going through one of these deeply emotional states, myself or an experienced assistant will be by your side, breathing with you, clearing your energy field with Palo Santo or Tobacco, cleansing you with feathers and even holding your hand if you need that. This is how we heal. You have got to feel it in order to release it.
In such altered states of consciousness the mind is very open to suggestions. The hauntingly beautiful healing songs can have a life-changing impact as they overwrite old subconscious programming that we all carry deep inside of us about scarcity of love and scarcity of material abundance. Tears may emerge as you take in the beauty of songs, voices, instruments and a sense of togetherness. Reconnecting with the natural world and feeling gratitude and love are some of the themes these songs revolve around.
Preparation and Integration
As a psychedelic integration guide I combine breathwork, yoga, hypnotherapy and trauma-informed processes such as Internal Family Systems and Inner Child Work. Integration is the way we can make sense of the unfathomable, and reinforce the new neuro-pathways that we built during ceremony. As a psychedelic preparation coach, I prepare my clients for a true life-changing experience.
Free exploratory session
I offer a free 20-minute conversation to help you get clear on what our ceremonies include, whether ceremony is for you at this time and I will answer any questions you may have. We will discuss topics such as how to prepare, what to bring, and how to make an intention. Prior to this phone call ideally you would text me and fill out an Intake Form, based on which I can ask you questions and give suggestions.
The day after ceremony we optionally meet up as a group. First we have a breathwork practice and then we share our experiences in a circle. It is always optional to participate in these. I also offer on-line Zoom integration meetings, which helps participants in processing their often life-changing experiences. Participants can also sign up for one-on-one preparation and integration. I encourage participants to also meet each other outside of ceremony settings and form a “sangha” or group that can allow for the transformation to be smoother.
About Eostar Kamala
I first received Ayahuasca seventeen years ago in Oregon after being invited to ceremony because of my music. What began as a single experience quickly evolved into a lifelong path of healing, study, service, and devotion.
Over the years I have sat in ceremonies with teachers from various traditions, including Shipibo, Cofán, and Santo Daime lineages. One of the most significant influences on my path has been my longtime mentor, the Peruvian medicine man Alonso Del Rio. Through years of friendship, apprenticeship, ceremonies, and Master Plant Diets in both the Andes and the Amazon, I have received invaluable guidance and inspiration in my work.
Seven years after my first ceremony, I began facilitating ceremonies myself.
In 2025, I spent three weeks in the Peruvian Amazon studying with Shipibo healers and participating in a Master Plant Diet while continuing my studies in the Andes with other respected medicine carriers.
Alongside my work with sacred medicines, I am also a Clinical Hypnotherapist, Breathwork Facilitator, Yoga Teacher, and Psychedelic Preparation and Integration Coach. My training includes Internal Family Systems, Birth Into Being, Recall Healing, Theta Healing, trauma-informed approaches, and Inner Child work.
These modalities allow me to support participants not only during ceremony, but also in translating their experiences into meaningful and lasting change.
Preparation & Integration
One of the most important aspects of psychedelic work is integration.
Powerful experiences alone do not create transformation. Lasting change occurs when we consciously integrate what we have learned and apply it to our daily lives.
For this reason, each ceremony is followed by a partial day of integration activities.
The following morning we gather for:
• Group Breathwork Journey
• Sound Healing Experience
• Integration Circle and Sharing
These practices help participants process their experiences, deepen their insights, and develop practical tools for continuing their healing journey after returning home.
I also offer additional preparation and integration support through private sessions and online group integration circles: these sessions are $125/90 mins or $100/60 mins.
See my psychedelic integration page for more details.
